when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, Google account id, and (if you have one) your profile photo. we use these to create your account and to let friends find you on bopp.
once you're in, the things you give us yourself are stored too: your chosen username, timezone, optional zip code, the events you create, who you invite, and any RSVPs or interests you mark. your browser tells us your timezone on first sign-in so we can pre-fill it; you can change it later in settings.
only to run the app. that means showing your events to the audience you chose (public, unlisted, invite-only), keeping you signed in, surfacing public events near you when you search, and remembering your appearance preferences.
we do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or run analytics that follow you to other sites.
we host bopp on Railway (United States). authentication is handled by Google. those services have their own privacy policies and we have no way to use your data outside of bopp's normal operation.
we set a session cookie to keep you logged in. your browser stores your chosen appearance theme locally so it persists between visits. that's it — no tracking pixels, no third-party analytics.
we keep your account and its data for as long as the account exists. to delete your account and everything in it, email us at the address below and we'll take care of it.
bopp isn't intended for anyone under 13. if you're a parent or guardian and believe your child created an account, let us know.
if we make a material change, we'll update the "last updated" date and note the change on the login page for a while.
